Nagaland: 63 fresh COVID cases, 4 more fatalities  

Dimapur, February 5 (MExN): Nagaland’s COVID-19 tally rose to 34, 822 with the confirmation of 63 new cases on Saturday. The state also reported 4 more fatalities in the last 24 hours pushing the COVID death toll to 737, according to the health department’s daily bulletin. 

Dimapur district recorded the highest number of cases with 36 followed by Kohima (18), and Peren (4). Mokokchung also reported 3 cases while Longleng and Peren reported 1 case each. A total of 52 cases were detected through self tests and random testing, 8 from returnees and travellers, 2 from traced contacts, and 1 from armed forces and security personnel.  

Kohima district reported two COVID-19 fatalities while Phek and Tuensang reported 1 each.

Nagaland currently has 2,232 active COVID-19 cases.
The health bulletin stated that 31,897 patients have recovered from the disease, including 99 on Saturday.
