Nagaland bans killer pesticide Endosulfan

Dimapur, July 11 (MExN): Nagaland has banned controversial pesticide, Endosulfan, with immediate effect. The Directorate of Agriculture, Government of Nagaland issued a notification today stating compliance with the Supreme Court of India’s May 13 interim order banning production, use and sale of the pesticide. In compliance, the directorate of Agriculture has notified all in concern that use and sale of Endosulfan is banned in Nagaland state with immediate effect.
