Nagaland begins process to  bring back stranded citizens

Returnees’ passes available at iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in.

DIMAPUR, MAY 8 (MExN): Minister for Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu has informed that the Nagaland Government has launched a returnees’ declaration form in the website iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in.

Nagaland citizens stranded in different parts of the country can register themselves to come back to Nagaland either on their own arrangement by road (e-Pass) or by arrangements to be made by the State Government. Special trains or buses as per the requirement will be arranged to bring back the stranded people after sorting out the data of the applicants.

The Minister informed that as of 5:00pm of May 8, 33 have applied for e-Passes and 7,015  have requested government arrangement for transportation.

He further stated that the Health Department in collaboration with the Police Department is digitally monitoring persons put on quarantine for the whole quarantine period through the nCovid-19 Nagaland Visitor’s App. The monitoring is done from the perspective of both health—Covid-19 symptoms daily, self-reporting through the app, and police-quarantine enforcement through geo-fencing.

As of May 8, 4579 persons have registered under the digital surveillance report, out of which 4355 persons registered in the app have already completed quarantine and 220 persons under quarantine are currently being monitored through the app.
