Kohima, October 2 (MExN): The Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (CMA) building was inaugurated on September 28 at Phek Town.

It was formally inaugurated by Lanula Kronu, wife of Neiba Kronu, minister for planning & coordination, land revenue and parliamentary affairs, Nagaland.

Speaking on the occasion, she stressed that every mother has given the responsibility with a purpose from God, like Queen Esther.

“That purpose can be delivered justly to our family and society if only a mother is God fearing, possessing the values of love, kindness, forgiveness and empathy. These values will go a long way to make a good mother and a good leader,” she said.

She acknowledged the hard work put in by the present CMA team by undertaking different activities for the uplift of the Chakhesang community.

Quoting the adage, “Little drops of water make a mighty ocean,” she was optimistic that the activities done by CMA would make a huge difference in the society.

The programme was chaired by CMA joint secretary Kekhrocheu K Tara while Rev Dr Thupuchiyi Khesoh, pastor, Phek Town Baptist Church invoked God blessings.

CMA president Zhonelu Tunyi delivered the welcome address. Acknowledgment of the guests was led by CMA general secretary Kezevinuo Krome.  The occasion also witnessed a folk song from Ratakhrü Krotho.
