806 samples test negative, results for 56 awaited

 

KOHIMA, May 10 (MExN): A total of 806 samples sent for COVID-19 testing from Nagaland have tested negative as of 3:00 pm, May 10. 


Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha today informed that altogether 862 samples have been sent for testing from the State, and results for 56 samples are awaited. 


He meanwhile informed a total of 7565 persons have been screened today throughout the state and a total of 100 persons are under Facility Quarantine.


The Principal Secretary also informed that today the dedicated Nagaland COVID-19 Toll Free Helpline Number 18003450019 received a total of 193 calls out of which 46  are related to tele-medicine consultation.


 

15,500 stranded outside apply to come home

 

Kohima, May 10 (MExN): A total of 15,500 citizens of Nagaland stranded in other states have applied to return to the state as of 4:00 pm on May 10. Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha today informed that the applications were received through the returnees’ declaration form on the website iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in.  The Principal Secretary further informed that a total of 7,409 passengers in 281 buses have travelled back to their respective districts from various locations of the State from May 7 to 9.  He meanwhile informed that the State Government has extended the date for inter-district movement of stranded persons from May 11 to 13 with the condition that preference will be given to those stranded persons who have registered themselves at the Facilitation Centers up to May 8. Further, any stranded person wishing to travel in a vehicle at his or her own arrangement and cost, are also allowed during the relaxation period after getting permit from the respective Deputy Commissioners.
