Nagaland CSR & Investment Conclave in Kohima from today

Union minister for finance and corporate affairs Nirmala Sitharaman will be gracing the inaugural function of Nagaland CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and Investment Conclave 2022 on August 22 in Kohima.

Sitharaman will address the conclave which is scheduled to start at 4:00 PM at NBCC Convention Centre, Kohima.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Government of India Sanjay Malhotra, and Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India Rajesh Verma will also address the conclave.

Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) Chief Executive Officer Alemtemshi Jamir will deliver welcome remarks and talk on “Opportunities for business and social investments.”

Nagaland’s chief secretary J Alam will talk on “The Business, Economy & Social Environment- A state overview” while YouthNet founder Hekani Jakhalu Kense will share “Experience of doing CSR in Nagaland.”

R Dinesh, president designate of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will talk on “Industry Perspective” while North Eastern Council (NEC) secretary K.Moses Chalai will highlight the North East regional perspective.

Nagaland’s planning & coordination, land revenue and parliamentary affairs minister Neiba Kronu will propose concluding remarks.

The programme will be followed by inauguration of exhibition stalls and a special ‘invitation only’ session with the union finance minister
 
Session on experience sharing & developing partnerships

A session on experience sharing and developing partnerships will take place on August 23 at 10:00 AM at NBCC Convention Centre.

It will witness interaction with CSR implementing agencies (NGOs), to be led by Sentimongla Kechuchar, ED, NEIDA, Nagaland and Chongshen Soted, Head of Programmes, ECS Nagaland.

It will be followed by interaction with CSR funding agencies in Nagaland in the presence of Saurabh Rastogi, CGM, REC Ltd, Roshan Mascarenhas, Associate Director SELCO Foundation, Rahul Kumar HCL Foundation, Dhruvi Shah, CEO Axis Bank Foundation.

After interaction with implementation partners, administration and departments, the area of idea exchange and forging partnerships will take place on thematic areas of entrepreneurship, skill development, innovation, education, sports, health and nutrition, agriculture, forest & environmental sustainability.

It will be followed by technical session on achieving sustainable development and CSR (Best practices, key challenges, learning, outcomes) in the presence of Padma Bhushan Dr Bindeshwar Pathak, founder Sulash International; Praveena Jagnambhat, Chief of Staff Boeing India; Jaideep Bansal, CEO, Global Himalayan Expedition; Dr Kajal Saikia, CGM (HR & legal) Numaligarh Refinery Ltd; Joyeeta Das, lead, Global Education & Workforce Development IBM; Anagha Poojari, Group Head CSR, Kalpatara Foundation; Sushma Rawat, Executive Director ONGC; and Amrita Gangully, Head Partnership, Tata Steel Foundation.

Investment & startup pitch

The Investment & startup pitch and session on investment opportunities in Nagaland will take place on August 23 at Conference Hall of Department of Information Technology & Communication, Kohima from 10:00 AM.

Opening remarks will be made by Kekhrievor Kevichusa, commissioner & secretary for industries & commerce Nagaland while “Roadmaps for development of industries in Nagaland” will be given by Vitsutho Nyuthe, director, industries & commerce Nagaland.

The session will witness sharing from Dr. Rena Van Berkel, UNIDO representative for India, Arnab Chakraborty, National Director, Empretec India Foundation and Lanu Jamir, Zip Engineering & Innovation Centre Dimapur.

Startup Nagaland team leader Kenei Theunuo will highlight “Startup ecosystem in Nagaland.”

The session will witness pitch presentation from startups Nagaland as well as video presentation on “Emerging investment destination.”
 
Banker’s conclave/credit outreach programme 

The Banker’s conclave/credit outreach programme has been scheduled for August 23 at Capital Cultural Hall Kohima at 10:55 AM.

Before this main programme, Sitharaman is scheduled to visit Mon  and dedicate Axis Bank branch there along with virtual dedication of Axis Bank branches at Demow, Sibasagar, Gohpur, Biswanath (Assam) and Madanrting, East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya.

Sitharaman will address the Banker’s conclave on her return from Mon.

She will also distribute token cheques to the beneficiaries and take time for virtual inauguration of branch of Nagaland Rural Bank at Chessore, launch of two projects under tribal development fund of NABARD, announcement of 100% saturation of all eligible farmers under KCC in two project areas in Wokha and Phek districts under Nagaland State Cooperative Bank.

Flagging off Mobile ATM van of Nagaland Rural Bank will also take place. This event will also witness exchange of MoU between SIDBI and IDAN.

Meanwhile, the union finance minister is schedule to visit Dr Neilhouzhü Kire GHSS Seikhazou, Kohima at 3:35 PM.

A close door interaction of Nagaland Business Community has also been scheduled on August 24 at Rhododendron Hall, Police Officers’ Mess Chümoukedima on August 24 at 9:35 AM.

Sitharaman will also pay visit to Heirloom Naga, Sovima at 11:30 AM.

She will also inaugurate Dialysis Centre at District Hospital Dimapur.

Dialysis Centre is a collaborative CSR project of department of health and family welfare Nagaland, Boeing India and Doctor for You (Facilitated by IDAN).
