Kohima, February 5 (MExN): The first departmental review meeting was held on February 5 at Chief Secretary's conference hall, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima with Industries & Commerce as the first department to present.
Chief Secretary, J Alam stated that the purpose of the departmental review meeting was to highlight issues of various departments, to rejuvenate and bring the department on focus.
A DIPR report stated that the team of senior government officials led by Chief Secretary, J Alam, IAS, were apprised of the various developments taken up by the Department of Industries & Commerce.
The Department highlighted on activities under the Ministry of MSME, Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Prime Minister Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PM FME), activities under Startup Nagaland program etc.
They also shared their problems and issues pertaining to the implementation of schemes and projects and establishment matters of the office. Officials of the Department of Industries & Commerce also shed some light on the way forward and the strategy for the Department.
