Tuensang, December 17 (MExN): Nagaland Governor, RN Ravi on the first day of his maiden visit to Tuensang visited St John Higher Secondary School Tuensang on December 17.
Interacting with the students of the school, the Governor applauded the school for their contribution in education and making it grow despite Tuensang being in a remote area.
He stressed on the importance of quality education and to check the “drop-out” menace. He also voiced his concern on the shortage of Science and Math teachers. Regarding the deplorable condition of roads in the District, Ravi said that road sector is of priority and believed that it would improve.
The Governor further exhorted the students to study hard and dream big and to invest for a brighter future. He also mentioned that health and education sector needs to be checked and should improve further.
He also held interactions with four major tribal bodies: CKS, KTC, USLP and YTC at Officer’s Mess, 7th Sector Assam Rifles Tuensang including GBs Union, Chambers of Commerce, Red Cross and Tuensang Town All Ward Union. Ravi also held meetings with District Administration, Security Agencies and heads of the District.
