Nagaland Gov presses State Cabinet to provide better services & fair governance

KOHIMA, JANUARY 9 (MExN): Nagaland Governor, RN Ravi today pressed the Nagaland Cabinet to work towards providing basic services and ensuring fair governance in the State.
The Governor impressed this during a ‘New Year breakfast meeting’ with the State Cabinet on January 9 at Raj Bhavan, Kohima. The meeting was attended by Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio; Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton with their Cabinet colleagues along with the Deputy Speaker, Sharingain Longkumer.
A press release from the Raj Bhavan reported that the Governor impressed upon the Cabinet the imperatives of providing better roads, health services, education and livelihood to the people of the State. He further urged upon each member of the Cabinet to set targets for their Ministry/Department for the year 2020 and closely monitor their implementation. The Governor also asked the Cabinet to create more institutions for fair governance.
The State Cabinet meanwhile reportedly reiterated their “commitment and dedication to the service of the people of Nagaland.” The Chief Minister also thanked the Governor for his initiative and expressed desire to have such meetings from time to time.
