Nagaland Governor launches Eduversity Cares2

Kohima, November 30 (MExN): The Governor of Assam and Nagaland, Prof Jagdish Mukhi on November 30 launched the Eduversity Cares2 at Hotel Vivor, Kohima and appreciated the Eduversity Group for taking the noble initiative for helping the girl students.

The group's major objective should be to identify the talented students and produce civil service officers, he added, further encouraging the Eduversity Group to be the torch bearer for excellence.

Chairperson, Nagaland State Commission for Women Khrienuo Tachu also lauded the CEO, MD and Colleagues of the Eduversity Group for coming up with such great initiative with special focus on girl students. 

Stating that the Naga Women in this 21st century are more informed and equipped, she hope that this initiative will take the a long way in empowering and leading the Naga Women to another level, a DIPR report informed. 

Chief Operating Officer, Eduversity Group, Prakash Nayak in his address informed that the initiative is for girl students of the institution to cope with their monthly cycle without compromising on their studies and classes. 

Under the initiative, a girl student gets a Two-Day leave during the initial period of menstrual cycle, which is considered as the peak of any discomfort. 

According to him, the leave would be on voluntary basis and the classes missed shall be compensated on Saturdays.
