Nagaland Governor visits JNV Nuiland

Niuland, August 25 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland Prof Jagdish Mukhi today made his maiden visit to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Nihokhu,Niuland.

The Governor was received by Nihokhu villagers in their traditional attires; NCC cadet of JNV Niuland; BD Ramteke, Assistant Commissioner of NVS, RO Shillong and Kholi Dikho, the Principal.

He also planted a tree sapling as a mark of his visit in the School campus followed by National anthem, lighting of the lamp, facilitation and cultural programme. 

In his address, the Governor highlighted the importance of National integration, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and encouraged the students to become a better citizen, informed a JNV release. 

Among others, George Abraham, Additional Secretary to the Governor of Nagaland; Rothihu Tetseo, Commissioner of Police Dimapur; Sara S Jamir, Deputy Commissioner Niuland; Kilangyanger Walling, DCP Niuland; Avonuo Kire, EAC Nihokhu; Major Aman Newar, 7th Assam Rifle Nihokhu; Army Display Band 7th AR, Ghaspani; Village Chairman, Head GBs Nihokhu and all the ATO Area Head GBs attended the programme
