Nagaland govt officers sensitised on sexual harassment at workplace

Kohima, November 2 (MExN): A two-day training workshop on sexual harassment at workplace for two batches was organised by the State Resource Centre for Women (SRCW)-Nagaland, District Level Centre for Women-MSK under the department of Nagaland State Social Welfare Board (NSSWB) in collaboration with Administrative Training Institute (ATI) at ATI, Kohima from October 28 to 31.
The workshop was conducted for two batches of government officers from various departments. Topics such as introduction to sexual harassment at workplace and gender discrimination, gender issues, the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, She Box, Vishaka guidelines, Women Hepline-181 and Sakhi- One Stop Centre were covered.
Juliana Medom, Assistant State Coordinator- NSSWB; Gracy Ayee, State Coordinator- SRCW; Meneno V Assistant State Coordinator – SRCW; Zakato Chishi, Legal Consultant- Women Hep Line; Neipechau Mepfhuo, Women Welfare Officer- MSK and Kesoneinuo Kense, District Coordinator-MSK were the resource persons.
The workshop was attended by DIPR, Agriculture, Art & Culture, Water Resource, Registrar of Co-Operative societies, School Education, Directorate of Evaluation, DYRS, Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Forest department, DUDA, Horticulture department, PHED, Police department, Directorate of Technical Education, NPWD, SW, Directorate of Higher Education, Prison and Lokayukta.
