The availability of beds in COVID Hospitals and isolation wards seem to have saturated at 464 and 390 respectively in Nagaland with both showing similar numbers on May 2 and 10.


However, the number of ICUs across the state increased by 2 in the same period. Despite the increment, Longleng and Peren district still remain without an ICU. 


A comparison data available on COVID-19 Dashboard for Nagaland on May 2 and May 10 also informed that Peren is also the only district without a ventilator so far while Longleng installed one during the intervening period.  


The Dashboard (https://covid19.nagaland.gov.in), among others, has information on district wise availability of beds, Intensive Care Units (ICUs), isolation wards, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), N95 masks as well as health personal on duty across the state.


Overall, availability of PPEs increased by 20740 to 23674 on May 10 while the number of N95 Masks rose to 35229 from 32820 last week. However, there were fluctuations in district-wise.


As of May 10, Nagaland had 464 beds in COVID-19 Hospital and 390 beds in isolation wards.  There were 66 ICUs and 34 ventilators across the state. 

 

Heath Workers 
According to the Dashboard, a total of 505 Government Doctors were on duty as of May 10, up from 500 last week. Doctors on leave decreased from 41 to 31 this week. 


Government Nurses on duty returned to the April 17 level at 2,117 on May 10. Accordingly, nurses on leave decreased from 38 nurses on May 2 to 37 on May 10.


Kohima district has the highest number of heath workers with 98 doctors and 359 nurses.
