The Nagaland Government today facilitated the movement of stranded local people in the State to their respective home districts.
Thousands of people have applied for travel permits since May 5, with the Nagaland Government arranging NST buses from each district to transport the stranded people. The inter district movement regime will continue till May 9.
All districts have opened facilitation cells to register those seeking to travel. Travel permits for private vehicles are also being availed at the cells.
The government has ordered that all persons seeking to travel will have to undergo health screening and all transportation modes are required to maintain COVID-19 protocols on sanitization and use of face masks.
It may be noted that this process is only for inter-district travel abd only available to local/indigenous persons with permanent addresses in Nagaland.
