Nagaland men’s come back from 12-point deficit to win

73rd Senior National Basketball Championship

Ludhiana, DECEMBER 4 (MExN): The second day of the 73rd Senior National Basketball Championship in Ludhiana witnessed Nagaland (men’s) recovering from a 12-point deficit to win against Manipur. The Nagaland team was, at one stage, was trailing 26-38, before springing back in the second half to engineer a 77-68 win. 

Captain Salew Kadete contributed an impressive 20 points, alongside Seyievizo Kire and Thejagulie Mekro with 16 and 10 points, respectively. 

In the women’s fixture, the state team went down putting up a gritty fight against a formidable Jammu & Kashmir squad 26-33.  Ravolu, Pele Kuotsu and Reena Rai contributed 6 points each to the team’s tally.
