Kohima, September 22 (MExN): Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has notified that inspite of the fact that selection test was done away in 2014 and stated in the rules under Management of Examination 2014, many institutions are still conducting selection test to screen out or drop the poor learners from appearing the HSLC/HSSLC Examinations.
While notifying all the Heads of Institutions registered under NBSE for strict compliance, NBSE has once again reminded not to conduct selection test at Class X or XII level to screen out the poor learners.
“Schools should assure that the course/syllabus of the academic year is covered and the learning gaps among the students identified and the varied needs of the students are addressed. All possible efforts should be taken to give remedial measures, special classes etc. for the weak students to improve their performance,” the Board stated in a notice issued through the DIPR.
Further, all schools must conduct Model Test at the end of completion of the course based on the design of the Board’s question paper to orient the students to sit for the Board’s examinations.
