Pharmacies to observe 12-hrs bandh on Sept 28

Dimapur, September 21 (MExN): All pharmacies will remain closed on September 28 from 6:00 am – 6:00 pm. Nagaland Medicine Dealers Association (NMDA), in a release from its general secretary stated that the 12-hours bandh has been called to support its parent organization All India Organization of Chemist and Druggist against the Central Government’s decision of E-marketing/online sale of medicine by few entities. It informed that NMDA will be advising one or two pharmacies in each district to facilitate emergency requirements on the day of the bandh and asked all the district units to comply with the bandh.  

Govt & new vehicles notified on coded stickers, registration

Dimapur, September 21 (MExN): Home Department has informed that all government officials entitled government vehicles to collect the form of ‘colour coded car stickers’ by producing name of the official, designation, vehicle registration number, type and colour of vehicle from the Home Department, Political Branch. Further, DIPR report mentioned that the Transport Department has notified every new vehicle to have a temporary registration for a period of one month, which is not renewable, and within which period such vehicles must be registered.” Also cautioning new vehicles plying without registering within the stipulated period, the Transport Department has also notified that a late fine of Rs 10 per day will be imposed after the expiry of the Temporary Registration Certificate.  

Government constitutes SLC for shelter of urban homeless

Dimapur, September 21 (MExN): The Government of Nagaland has constituted the State Level Committee (SLC) for monitoring progress of Shelter for Urban Homeless (SUH), a component of National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) with the following members, with immediate effect. The committee will be led by Banuo Z. Jamir, IAS (Rtd) - Chairman; Secretary, Urban Development Department – Member; Dr. Kepelhousie Terhiija, President, Angami Public Organisation- Member and TN Keny, Social Worker- Member.  

DC Mon notifies on arms licenses

Mon, September 21 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner, Mon, K Thavaseelan, IAS, on September 19 has notified all Arms Licence holders under Mon district yet to submit for generating Unique Identification Number (UIN) to submit their Arms Licence for generating UIN under ongoing National Database of Arms Licence on or before March 31. Further, all Administrative Officers are directed to inform all Arms Licence holders within their respective jurisdiction, a DIPR release informed.  

Free hearing check up in Dimapur

Dimapur, September 21 (MExN): Shree Digambar Jain Charitable Clinic under the aegis of Shree Digambar Jain Samaj, Dimapur will be conducting free hearing check up on September 28 and 29 from 9:00 am onwards at SD Jain Charitable Clinic. A press release by Narendra Pandya, Secretary, SD Jain Charitable Clinic mentioned that the hearing aids will be distributed free of cost to poor and needy patients only. All hearing, testing, audiologist consultation, trial of hearing aids and counselling will be done free of cost. Children and adults who suspect hearing defect are welcomed for the free check up on prior appointment only. Relief disbursement for Kma dist from Sept 27

Kohima, September 21 (MExN): In pursuance to release of State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) for Kohima District for the year 2017-2018, the Deputy Commissioner & Chairman DDMA Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan IAS has informed that the relief disbursement for Kohima district to the beneficiaries shall commence from September 27 upto October 10 from the District Disaster Management Authority Cell (DDMA CELL), Deputy Commissioner’s office Kohima from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. In this regard, all the beneficiaries have been informed to come in person and produce a photocopy of Adhaar card and 2(Two) passports for identity and authentication and collect the sanctioned amount.
