NPMHR to host NAPM on Nov 21

Dimapur, November 19 (MExN): The Naga Peoples Movement for Human Rights (NPMHR) will be hosting a twenty-two member delegation of the National Alliance of People’s Movement (NAPM) who will be visiting Nagaland from November 21 to 22 in solidarity with groups and struggles across the country. The NAPM team is undertaking a nation-wide yatra (Samvidhan Samman Yatra) which started on October 2 from Dandi (Gujarat) and will conclude on December 10. In this regard, NPMHR will be hosting an interactive dialogue between NAPM team and representatives of Naga civil society organization (CSOs) on November 21, 10:00 am at Don Bosco IDL, Riverbelt Colony, Dimapur. The NPMHR has requested Naga CSOs to attend the event and confirm the same to 9436425107/kolo_bunio@yahoo.co.in  

PGBU terms ceasefire a positive outcome

Meluri, November 19 (MExN): The Pochury GBs Union (PGBU) has termed the declaration of GoI and NSCN (Khongo led group) to re-enter into ceasefire a positive outcome desired by the Nagas which will bring inclusive and peaceful solution to the Naga Political issue. A press release from Nyupuli, President and Lovisie, General Secretary urged all NPGs to join the peace process. The Union acknowledged Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF) for playing the role of a mediator in bringing permanent peace in our land. The Union further appealed the GoI to reciprocate to the peace initiative and persist on peaceful dialogue for early solution to the protracted Naga Political problem.  

NSCN (R) informs on recovered vehicle

Dimapur, November 19 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (Reformation) through MIP has informed that one 'White Coloured' Bolero bearing Chasis no: MA.1.P1.2G.H.KB5F 80633 and Engine no: GHB 4E 50001 was recovered by the Town Command. In this regard, the rightful owner with documents/proofs can claim the said vehicle from the Office of the Town Command, within seven days from the publication of this notice, and of which, no further claim/s shall be entertained after the expiry of the dateline. It has further informed that the commander Hukato Chophi can be contacted at 9366074244/9612973337  

Kohima Police recover IMFL cases, arrest two

Kohima, November 19 (MExN): Kohima Police personnel recovered 28 cases of IMFL from Peducha check gate on November 16, from one Maruti Alto bearing Registration No. MN01W/-8108. Two individuals were arrested, according to PRO Kohima. In this connection, Sechü (Zubza) PS NON FIR PT IV Case No 06/18, U/S 44 (a)(e) NLTP Act, the two identified persons - Thanmathing Jajo (24 yrs), Vill- Lamlai Khunou, PS- Litan, State- Manipur and Pamrushang Jajo (37yrs), Vill- Shingkap, PS- Litan, State- Manipur were produced at Sechü (Zubza)PS for necessary action.  

Rhieo Council condemns murder of juvenile

Kohima, November 19 (MExN): The Rhieo Council has condemned the recent murder of a young girl on Novemebr 13 within the premises of Government Higher Secondary School, Seikhazou, Kohima. It has urged the law enforcing authorities for a transparent, meticulous and swift investigation, so that the perpetrator/s of the crime can be brought to book and befitting actions taken, a press release issued by Tseivilie Miachieo, Chairman Rhieo Councilis stated. It further urged that no person or community shield or side with the perpetrator/s, which may obstruct justice.  

UDD designates SBM State Mission Director

Kohima, November 19 (MExN): The Urban Development Department (UDD) has informed that Elizabeth Ngully, Joint Secretary, Urban Development Department has been designated as the State Mission Director for Swachh Bharat Mission, Nagaland with immediate effect. This was done based on the guidelines of Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, a DIPR report informed.  

JNV selection test for 2019-2020

Mokokchung, November 19 (MExN): Principal JNV, Mokokchung, Nagaland has informed that Navodaya Selection Test for the year 2019 – 20 will be conducted on February 2 and April 6 2019 for class IX and class VI respectively. The last date for filling of online application for both the test is November 30. All interested candidates are informed that this year, the registration is being done through online portal in the NVS website www.navodaya.gov.in.
