No visitor’s entry to Secretariat on Nov 28

KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 27 (MExN): The Nagaland State Home Department has informed that in view of the 15th Finance Commission’s visit to Nagaland from November 27 to 29, no visitors will be allowed to enter the Nagaland Civil Secretariat on November 28.  

DC Phek notifies

PHEK, NOVEMBER 27 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Phek today said that several new structures have come up along the stretch of 2-laning of Pfutsero-Phek and Chakhabama-Zunheboto road under SARDP-NE after the final verification of damage compensation in July, 2018. “It may be noted that prior notice was issued to the Village Councils for the cross verification of the damage compensation assessment,” a notice from the DC stated. It cautioned that new structures that have come up or are under construction along the above mentioned stretch post July, 2018 will not be taken up for compensation. It further directed all concerned to cease/remove any such works immediately.  

‘Issue work orders for uncut portions of Foothill Road’

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 27 (MExN): The Nagaland Foot Hill Road Construction Committee today appealed to the Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio and PWD Minister, Tongpang Ozukum to issue work order for the uncut portions of the road at earliest. A press note from Supu Jamir, Convenor, NFHRCC appreciated the PWD (R&B) Minister for inspecting the ongoing Doyang Bridge construction and lamented that since 2014, “none of the concerned ministers had neither visited nor inspected the Bridge Construction despite request.” The Minister’s visit, it claimed has “encouraged both the contractor as well the committee to take forward the Peoples Project.”
