NSDMA to Orientation Program for Nodal Officers

Kohima, December 10 (MExN): The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department will be organizing an ‘Orientation Program for Nodal Officers ’of Disaster Management from Line Departments. The program will be chaired by Johnny Ruangmei, OSD, NSDMA, the Welcome Address will be given by Rovilatuo Mor, Secretary, NSDMA, while the Keynote Address will be given by Ramakhrishan, Home Commissioner. The program will be held on December 12 at ATI Kohima. Registration for the program will begin at 09:30 am. Johnny Ruangmei, OSD to government of Nagaland in a press release have requested all Nodal Officers to attend the program as this training will enable them in the effort of mainstreaming DRR into developmental planning of the department.  

DCCI informs

Dimapur, December 10 (MExN): The Dimapur Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) has informed all shops and business establishments in Dimapur to open their shutters on Sundays till the New Year to facilitate festive shoppers coming from near and far. This is as per the earlier decision taken by all stakeholders along with the district administration. DCCI also reminds all shops and business establishments to put up festive decorations in front of their respective shops and showrooms. A press release from DDCI President AKashe Zhimomi requested organizations or unions to desist from calling any bandh during this season in lieu of the festive season.  

Phek DPDB meeting held

Phek, December 10 (MExN): The Phek District Planning and Development Board for the month of December was held on December 10 at its conference hall under the chairmanship of Phek Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman Orenthung Lotha, NCS. The house discussed agenda and approved the recommended for upgradation of Sekruzu Town school and also opening of new church run primary school at Thenyizumi village. Phek SDO, Civil T Lemlila Sangtam presented a power point on JICA, Japan and highlighted on the programme cum training which she attended on sustainable development through business. Departmental activities were presented by Administrator Phek Town Council & ADC Avelu Ruho where she informed the house on plastic ban and called upon the house for cooperation in this venture.
