Inauguration of New Peren Sector postponed

Kohima, October 26 (MExN): Department of Tourism today informed that the proposed inauguration of New Peren Sector under Swadesh Darshan on October 28 has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. The department further regretted the inconveniences caused.

 

NTC mourns demise of Z Katiry

Kohima, October 26 (MExN): The Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) has mourned the demise of one of its founding members Z Katiry, who breathed his last at Naga Hospital Kohima on October 25, after a brief illness. “He was an active, sincere and a dedicated person committed towards the welfare of the society. The void in the NTC created by his death would be difficult to fill in,” a condolence message from the NTC read. The Nagaland Tribes Council expressed its utmost sympathy, shared the sadness and conveyed its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to “Almighty God to grant them courage to withstand this time of sorrow and grief. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace,” the message added. 

 

ANHTU elects new office bearers

Kohima, October 26 (MExN): All Nagaland Hindi Teachers Union (ANHTU) elected its new office bearers for the tenure 2020-2021. Ruchunlo Tep has been elected as President, S Peter Sema as Vice President, Prakash as General Secretary, Kekhrienielie Tsikhano as Information Secretary along with seven other members. A press release from ANHTU stated the Advisory Board includes Rometo Sema and AS Yarthotngam, while the Audit Committee includes Aviho, President, Zunheboto; Rangwam, President, Peren and Shumei Anthony, President, Longleng. Magazien Committee includes other four members while the executive members will be all the District Unit Presidents and Secretaries.
