Nagaland PHED CE passes away
Kohima, November 1 (MExN): Er Yhunsinlo Tep, chief engineer PHED Nagaland passed away on November 1 at NHAK Kohima. The send off service will be held on November 2 at his official residence at Upper Agri Colony, Kohima at 9:00 am. The last funeral rites will be held on November 3 at his native village Tesophenyu at 12:00 noon.
DSE on recognition of private schools and opening of pre-school
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 1 (MExN): The Directorate of School Education, Nagaland has notified to all the private schools under elementary sector that application forms for recognition, up gradation & renewal of recognition of private schools and also opening of pre-school will be issued by the Directorate of School Education from the month of March to April 2020. The last date of submission shall be May 31, 2020. No application shall be entertained after the stipulated period, a DIPR report informed.
DC Kohima bans single-use plastics ‘with immediate effect’
Kohima, November 1 (MExN): DC Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie has notified that all single-use plastic such as plastic carry bags with or without handle, plastic cutlery including plates, plastic cups, straw, stirrers etc and other decoratives made of styrofoam (Thermocol), poly propylene carry bag have been banned with immediate effect. Selling, distribution, stocking and use of poly propylene (pp) carry bags is strictly prohibited, the DC notified and added that the District Task Force will monitor and action shall be taken against the defaulters.
PYSU informs on road under construction
Dimapur, November 1 (MExN): The Phaipijang Youth & Students’ Union (PYSU) has informed the general public, specially those who commute through Phaipijang village that the village road is under construction. In this regard, a press release from the Union has requested the commuters to ply via different route until further notice, since there was difficulty in vehicular movement and which also hampers the work progress. The Union regretted the inconvenience rendered.
Free Training on food processing in Mon
Dimapur, November 1 (MExN): CAN YOUTH will be conducting training on food processing in collaboration with District Administration Mon, sponsored by Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) at Mon Town for women belonging to ST/SC from November 11. The training is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship skills and livelihood opportunities for the young girls and women of the district. AAY & PHH beneficiaries under Dimapur informed on Aadhaar card
Dimapur, November 1 (MExN): Assistant Director, Food & Civil Supplies, S Kavito has informed all the AAY and PHH beneficiaries under Dimapur District to update their Aadhaar card in order to enable the Department for seeding their Aadhaar number in their respective ration cards for smooth functioning of ePDS, since some Aadhaar cards that have exceeded five years from the date of enrolment. This information is issued for the benefit of AAY and PHH beneficiaries under Dimapur District.
