CVYS nabs robbers from Chümu
Chümoukedima, November 2 (MExN): Chümoukedima Village Youth Society (CVYS) on November 2 nabbed three robbers from Chümoukedima village jurisdiction. The robbers were caught red-handed while trying to flee with livestocks from an auto rickshaw, a press release from Chümoukedima Village Youth Society stated. The apprehendees have been identified as: Izazul resident of Diphupar; Biswajit Das resident of Railway gate, Dimapur and Joinal Ali resident of Garo Basti, Dimapur. As per the ‘customary law,’ the three have been banned from entering Chümoukedima jurisdiction and CVYS shall not be held responsible for any untoward incident if apprehended. The robbers were handed over to Chümoukedima Police Station in the presence of the duty officer for necessary action, it added.
NPF mourns demise of member
Kohima, November 2 (MExN): Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu, President of the Naga People's Front (NPF) has mourned the demise of Obangla, Adviser to Central Women Wing on October 29 in Mokokchung. Dr Shürhozelie in a condolence message stated that Obangla was an active and one of the most senior party leader, who served the party on different capacities with her dedication and sincerity and delivered her best towards the building and upliftment of the party. The vacuum created by her demise will be difficult to be filled up, the message added. Dr Shürhozelie on his own and on behalf of the party rank and file conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that God grant comfort to the loved ones and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
NPP Nagaland offers condolence
Dimapur, November 2 (MExN): The NPP (National People’s Party) Nagaland State has offered condolences to the family of Wati, who breathed his last on October 29. “A visionary leader of our times, Late Wati was the father of Olemer Ricky Ozukum, General Secretary (Pol. Affairs), NPP Nagaland. His loss has left a deep void in our society,” a condolence message from NPP Nagaland read. At this hour of grief, the NPP offered prayers for the departed soul and spiritual support to the bereaved family members of the deceased. “May God Almighty grant all of you grace and peace to bear the pain of loss with Christian love, courage and faith, A good heart has stopped beating, a good soul ascended to heaven. We part with our beloved Sir in great sorrow and pain,” the message added.
Ex-PAN elects new team of officials
Dimapur, November 2 (MExN): The Ex-PAN in its meeting held on October 11 in Dimapur set up a ‘Search committee’ for setting up a new team of Ex-PAN office bearers. Henceforth, a general meeting was held on October 30 and the search committee report was approved by the house. As per a press release from Ex-PAN, the new team of officials is led by Joshua Sumi as President, Medokul Sophie as Vice President, Supongmeren as General Secretary along with two other members and five Advisors. Representative to Parliamentarian and Ex-Parliamentarian Welfare Forum include five memebers. The release informed that the Ex-PAN resolved to amend its constitution for which the Search Committee was converted into Constitution Amendment Committee with the same members. The Committee has been given three months time to submit the report, the release added.
