4th Kholar Festival in Pungro, Kiphire
Kiphire, December 15 (MExN): The office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire in collaboration with DUDA, government departments and NEIDA will be organizing the 4th Kholar Festival at Pungro, Kiphire district on December 18. The programme will begin at 9:00 am. DC Kiphire, Sarita Yadav IAS will be the special guest for the festival. Special attractions include buying and selling of Kholar and other agri products, Kholar eating competition, top spinning, Khuyie, arrow shooting competition, night carnival etc.
Inner Wheel Club Dimapur to organize Christmas gift drive
DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 15 (MExN): The Inner Wheel Club of Dimapur is set to organise a Christmas gift drive help the underprivileged of Dimapur to at Inner Wheel Park, outside Dimapur Club on December 18 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. A press release from the club said that the event would celebrate the “joy of giving.”
NNC (Parent Body) extends Christmas greetings
Dimapur, December 15 (MExN): The NNC (Parent Body) led by President Z Royim and General Secretary Toshi Walling has extended warm season’s greetings to the Naga people. “A Saviour ‘Jesus’ is born, may the world rejoice! This is a time to thank God for His unceasing love and protection to the Nagas and its land all throughout the year 2019,” read a press release from its MIP Media Cell. The Parent Body prayed that “God grant a mutual and peaceful Naga solution to arrive soon” and for peace and harmony to prevail in “our land in 2020 and forever.” It wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year 2020.
NSCN (K) informs on enrolment
Dimapur, December 15 (MExN): The NSCN (K) today informed that “Jackson Pochury is not eligible and therefore denied enrolment in our fold.” As per a press release from its MIP, likewise one Kunoto Chophy who claimed to be a Deputy Kilonser, “on proper investigation was found otherwise and still affiliated to other political party at a very lower hierarchy and hence kept in abeyance.” In this regard, the NSCN (K) informed the “concerned authorities and individuals” to remain clarified on these issues.
