PAC-NCD emergency meet

Dimapur, December 19 (MExN): The Public Action Committee – Naga Council Dimapur (PAC-NCD) has convened an emergency meeting on December 21, 9:00 am at the Naga Council Conference Hall. Media Cell PAC-NCD in a press release has requested all the members of the PAC, DUCCF, GBs Union, DNSU, NWHD, DCCI, EDBA, Chümoukedima Business Association, all the Presidents and Secretaries of tribal and non tribal unions/samajs of Dimapur to attend the meeting on priority to discuss on the rampant collection of money by “State and Non State actors in the name of Christmas.”

 

1st Fraternity Culture Exchange of Sümi & Chakhesang

Zunheboto, December 19 (MExN): The first Fraternity Culture Exchange of Sümi and Chakhesang community of Dzülhami village, Phek district, Kilomi and Khughutomi villages under Zunheboto district will be holding its first session on January 21, 2020 at Dzülhami village local ground. The programme committee in a press release has invited all the members of Dzülhami, Kilomi and Khughutomi residing outside the village to come and grace the occasion. The event will be graced by Hekhushe Shikhu, President, Sumi Hoho as the special guest. The unfurling of the flag will be at 8:30 am.

 

AR apprehends Yung Aung-led NSCN (K) cadres 

Kohima, December 19 (MExN): Two active cadres of Yung Aung-led NSCN (K) were apprehended by the troops of Assam Rifles from Kohima on November 23, said an official statement. They were arrested when the troops of Assam Rifles launched an operation along with a Police representative of North Police Station in Naga Bazar, Kohima after specific intelligence regarding their presence, informed a press release from Lt Col L Vincent Patton PRO, HQ IGAR (N). The arrested cadres were identified as Sgt Major Hoshito Ayemi (27 years), a resident of Vekuho village, Zunheboto and 2nd Lieutenant Kashika (21 years), resident of Shuruhoto village, Zunheboto. The release further informed that point 22 pistols, nine rounds, two magazines and other documents were recovered from their possession.  The duo along with recoveries were handed over to North Police Station, Kohima for further investigation, it added.
