CNSA supports DoSE’s move 

Dimapur, February 7 (MExN): The Central Nagaland Students' Association (CNSA) has extended support to the Department of School Education’s (DoSE) recent notification, which has directed all heads of government school to display posters containing food grains and cooking cost under the Mid Day Meal (MDM) scheme for each quarter at its school campus. CNBSA President Himato Yeptho and General Secretary Lipemo M Tsopoe, through a press release appreciated the department’s move. It said that the Association will extend support by checking all government education institutes from top level to grassroots level for an effective implementation of the scheme as per the guidelines issued by School Education, Nagaland. CNSA further hoped that this step will ensure “more transparency and accountability in the coming days.”

 

MCJC invites firms to establish Wawade Hydro Electric Project

Kiphire, February 7 (MExN): The Mimi Circle Joint Council (MCJC) has invited any company/firm/enterprises whether private or government agencies for establishment of Wawade Hydro Electric Project, Kiphire. MCJC President Hemkemong P, in a press release stated that the survey for the establishment of the proposed Hydro Electric Project at Wawade was conducted by the Department of Power, Government of Nagaland in the year 1996. However, no development was done so far. As such, the MCJC assured to “give our fullest cooperation that intents to develop Wawade Hydro Electric Project which will benefit the government and the local populace.”

 

TSUD presidential meet deferred

Dimapur, February 7 (MExN): The Tenyimi Students Union Dimapur (TSUD) presidential meeting that was convened on February 8 has been postponed to February 10, 2:00 pm at Tenyimi Complex, Dimapur. A press release from TSUD has requested all the unit presidents, TSUD executive members, subordinate bodies, seniors and advisors to attend the meeting without fail.
