National Science Day in Kiphire

Kohima, February 21 (MExN): The National Science & Technology Council (NASTEC) & Directorate of Science & Technology, Innovation Hub in collaboration with District Education Office and District Administration, Kiphire will be organizing National Science Day cum School Level Robotic Training and Competition on February 28 in Kiphire. Mmhonlumo Kikon, Advisor IT, Science & Technology and NRE will grace the occasions as the guest of honor.

 

Classes on current affairs in Mon

Mon, February 21 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS has informed all concerned that there will be classes on Current Affairs every Saturday from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Conference Hall, Mon. The DC in a circular, informed that classes will be free of cost and will be live streamed from ALS IAS Academy’s Centre in New Delhi. He requested all the civil service aspirants in Mon district to make use of the facility.

 

Seluophe village annual general meet

Dimapur, February 21 (MExN): Seluophe village has convened its 2020 annual general meeting at the Ampi-Theatre, Seluophe, 10:00 am on February 29. As per a press note appended by Village Council Chairman (VCC) Seluophe, Wepfute Chirha, all bonafide members and plot holders of Seluophe village have been requested to attend the meeting without fail.

 

CPO clarifies on political stand 

Dimapur, February 21 (MExN): The Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) has clarified on the recent meeting held between the Chakhesang Region NSCN (IM) and the CPO on January 27 in Kohima. As per a press release from CPO President Mikha Kenye and General Secretary Veduvo Rhakho, the NSCN (IM) team led by Col (Rtd) Ape Venuh had a meeting with CPO officials “as per the request of the former.” “In the discourse, the CPO made its political stand clear to the NSCN (IM) team that it upholds the principle of non-violence principle of NNC and its declared stand based on 1951 Plebiscite. However the CPO shall not be a road block to the negotiating parties with Government of India for solution which is acceptable and honorable,” said the release. “Also the PAN Naga Hoho did not figure in our meeting on January 27 and no CPO official had commented on the issue,” it added.

 

SDPDB deliberates on ‘Green Pughoboto’

Pughoboto, February 21 (MExN): ADC Pughoboto, T Moa Lemtor has informed that as per the SDPDB meeting of February 2020, the Chairman SDPDB & MLA Pughoboto desires for a new approach towards “Green Pughoboto” mission 2020. Unlike in the past, this year's approach will focus only on those individuals and groups who wish to plant trees with utmost care of the saplings. Head of offices of Government departments under Pughoboto who want to be part of this sustainable mission by taking the initiative of planting trees in the campus are asked to submit the list to ADC office Pughoboto latest by March 2020 so that saplings can be arranged on time.
