DEOs and SDEOs informed
KOHIMA, MAY 20 (MExN): All DEOs and SDEOs have been directed to order every school under their respective jurisdictions to put in place safety measures and mechanisms and also a contingency plan in the event of any eventuality and submit the Action Taken Report to the Directorate of School Education on or before May 31 without fail. The order was issued by Kesonyü Yhome, IAS, Principal Director, Directorate of School Education. It added that the provision of safe, clean and uncontaminated food to school children under Mid Day Meal Scheme is paramount and cannot be compromised under any circumstances.

Liquor seized at Chumu check gate
Dimapur, May 20 (MExN): The Dimapur district excise personnel manning Chumukedima check gate seized 41 cases of rum and two cases of canned beer from a Maruti Gypsy (U/R) on May 20. In this regard, one accused identified as Alemba (23) has been arrested and booked under NLTP Act 1989. According to a press release issued by superintendent of excise & prohibition, Dimapur KY Sangtam, the vehicle was travelling from Dimapur to Kohima. KY sangtam, the superintendent has lauded the effort of the excise personnel manning the Chumukedima check gate under the command of Jungti Jamir, AIE. 

Mary Help of Christians Parish to celebrate silver jubilee
Kohima, May 20 (MExN): The Mary Help of Christians Parish, Cathedral Kohima will be celebrating its Silver Jubilee on May 24 and 25. Most Rev. Dominic Lumon, Archbishop of Imphal will be the main celebrant for the event. The program will start on May 24 at 5 pm with the unveiling of the jubilee monolith by the main Celebrant which will be followed by Marian Procession and will end with benediction. The program on May 25 will start at 9 am with the laying of the Foundation Stone of jubilee hall by Most Rev Dominic Jala, Archbishop of Shillong. Introductory speech will be given by His Lordship, Most Rev Dr. James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima Diocese. High Holy Eucharistic Mass will be celebrated by the main Celebrant, Most Rev. Dominic Lumon. A felicitation program will be followed including the release of souvenir and presentations followed by the Jubilee feast. 

Nicky Kire to inaugurate directorate complex of employment & craftsmen training 
Kohima, May 20 (DIPR): The new directorate complex of Employment & Craftsmen Training, Nagaland located above High School junction here will be inaugurated on May 23 at 9 am by Parliamentary Secretary, Labour & Employment, Land Revenue and Law & Justice, Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire. The programme will be chaired by Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Labour & Employment Department, Wepretso Mero. Brief report on construction of the office complex will be given by Executive Engineer CAWD, Er. Sungtiba Amer. Special number will be presented by I.T.I trainees and vote of thanks will be proposed by Director, Employment & Craftsmen Training, Muthingnyuba Sangtam.

DPRO Wokha visits Bhandari
Wokha, May 20 (DIPR): DPRO, Wokha officially visited APRO office Bhandari on May 10. He inspected the office, PA equipment and also had discussion with the staff of APRO Bhandari with regard to water supply and electricity which are the primary necessities at the department’s office at Bhandari. He also requested the staff to sincerely devote the time for the welfare of the department’s service.
