NERC not to hold public hearing on tariff petition
Kohima, August 11 (MExN): The Nagaland Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Kohima has regretted to inform that the Commission will not be able to hold public hearing on the tariff petition for the proposed 20 MW Solar Power Project at Jalukie, Peren as published earlier by the Project Developer i.e. M/s. Halo Energies Pvt. Ltd, Hyderabad on August 1 and 2 in three local daily English newspapers due to various restrictions on the public movements/gathering by the State Government in view of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Therefore, all the interested stakeholders in the State have been requested to submit their views & comments in writing, if any, on the tariff petition to the Secretary, Nagaland Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Kohima, WY Yanthan latest by August 20 either through Registered Post or by email to nerc_kohima@yahoo.com/nerckohima@hotmail.com The Detail Project Report (DPR) of the same is available in the NERC’s Official Website for ready reference.
NSF notifies to hoist Naga National Flag
Kohima, August 11 (MExN): Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has notified all federating units and sub-ordinate bodies of the Federation to hoist the Naga National Flag at their respective Oking to mark the 74th Naga Independence Day celebration on August 14. NSF in a press statement expressed regret for its inability to commemorate the Naga Independence day programme due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the SOP set in place by the concerned authority. “However, the federation will be hoisting the Naga National Flag at its Oking, Kohima to mark the occasion. Compliance report along with pictorial proof may be forwarded to the office of the NSF for documentation,” it added.
Ravi extends Janmashtami greetings
Kohima, August 11 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi has extended Janmashtami greetings to the people of Nagaland. “This festival celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna. During the festival, plays of Krishna's childhood are demonstrated symbolizing the joyful innocence of children, and that love and life's play is the manifestation of god. Krishna was born at a time of chaos when evil was everywhere. A time which we can relate considering the COVID-19 situation we are facing today,” the Governor stated in a message. He also said that Hindus celebrate Janmashtami by fasting, singing, praying together, preparing and sharing special food and night vigils. “Let us do the same with the thoughts of improving our conditions as we fight the pandemic today,” he called upon all while wishing everyone peace and happiness as you observe the festival at home.
