Gov extends Metemneo greetings
Kohima, August 7 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland RN Ravi on Friday extended Metemneo greetings to all the people of Nagaland and especially to the Yimchunger community. This festival represents the rich cultural heritage of our people, the Governor said in his message. Stating that the festival is believed to be the right occasion to forget all bitterness and strengthen the familial and social bonding, the Governor further urged the youths to “carry forward this rich cultural legacy.” “As you celebrate the festival at home during this difficult time of COVID-19, I wish everybody happiness, peace and good health,” he said in his message.
Wokha DPDB meet deferred
Wokha, August 7 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB Wokha, Orenthung Lotha has informed that, due to the lockdown in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the DPDB meeting for the month of August has been deferred till further notification.
OPD services to resume at PMTI Kohima
Kohima, August 7 (MExN): The Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) today informed that all the OPD services will resume at Para Medical Training Institute (PMTI), Kohima from August 10 by 9:00 am. This was stated in order issued by NHAK managing director Dr Thorhusie Katiry.
Pregnant woman reported negative in RT-PCR test
Dimapur, August 7 (MExN): Confirmatory RT-PCR report of the pregnant woman who delivered at Eden Medical Centre (EMC) on August 2 has turned out to be negative. She was earlier admitted with advanced labour and was tested COVID-19 positive on a preliminary screening by TrueNat analyzer. Her confirmatory RT-PCR report arrived only on August 7. “Till such time, she was kept in isolation in the labour room along with nursing staff,” EMC informed in an official note.
