
4 arrested with illegal teak veneer plywood
Dimapur, November 14 (MExN): Security forces in a joint operation with the Divisional Forest Office apprehended four individuals with illegal teak veneer plywood sheets products at general area Pherima, Dimapur on November 10.
A press release issued by the HQ IGAR (N) informed that based on a specific input, the security forces in a joint operation with Divisional Forest Office apprehended four individuals and recovered illegal teak veneer plywood sheets worth approximately Rs 4 crore at Pherima, Dimapur.
The apprehended individuals along with recovered items have been handed over to Forest range Dimapur, Dimapur District for further investigation, the release added.
YAN mourns Filip Sumi’s demise
Dimapur, November 14 (MExN): The Youth Association of Nagaland (YAN) on Sunday mourned the demise of senior journalist and Dimapur Press Club (DPC) Chairperson Filip Sumi.
Remembering late Filip as someone who “always stood in the forefront when it comes to welfare and wellbeing of media fraternity in the state,” the Association conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for strength to bear the irreparable loss while also praying for the deceased to rest in peace.
WCBCC to celebrate golden jubilee on Nov 20
Kohima, November 14 (MExN): The Western Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (WCBCC) is all set to celebrate its golden jubilee on November 20 at its Mission Centre, 7th Mile Village, Dimapur under the theme, ‘In Christ Alone’, with Rev Khrotso Mero, Executive Secretary, Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) as the jubilee speaker.
According to a press release issued by Jubilee Planning Committee Convenor, Rev Dr. Nuvocho Dzudo, the day long jubilee celebration highlights include unveiling of jubilee monolith by Rev Khrotso Mero followed by blowing of trumpet, release of jubilee souvenir by Rev Dr VK, Nuh, observation of jubilee pledge and jubilee feast, for which the prayer will be performed by Dr Adela Mero.
General Secretary, Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) Rev Dr Zelhuo Keyho will deliver greetings while Rev Dr Vezopa Tetseo will pronounce offertory prayer. Children Ministry and Jubilee Choir will present special praises and Rev Dr P Dozo will pronounce closing prayer.
