CM calls meeting of border districts
Kohima, August 27 (MExN): Chief Minister and the Convenor of the Assembly's Select Committee to Examine the Nagaland-Assam Border Issue, Neiphiu Rio, has convened a meeting with the select committee members and the members of the local committee in the border districts namely Mon, Longleng, Mokokchung, Wokha, Tseminyu, Niuland, Dimapur and Peren on September 15 at 10:00am at Chief Minister's Office, CMRC Kohima. All the Members of the Committee are requested to kindly make it convenient to attend the Meeting. This was stated in a press release issued by Khruohituonuo Rio, Secretary-In-Charge.
GPPK meeting on August 28
Kohima, August 27 (MExN): The general body meeting of the Gorkha Public Panchayat Kohima (GPPK) will be held at the Multi-Utility Hall, Chandmari Kohima on August 28 at 12:00 pm. Informing this in a press release on Friday, the GPPK Press and Publicity Secretary Anup Rana stated that reports of the present tenure will be presented by the General Secretary and Treasurer apart from exhortation by Gayatri Devi and Bhim Rai. The meeting will also witness felicitation, deliberations and adoption of resolutions including declaration of new team of office bearers of the GPPK for the tenure 2022-2025 by Ranjit Lama, Convener, Election/selection Committee. Nobin Pradhan and Prem Kr Thapa, President and General Secretary of the Nagaland Gorkha Association (NGA) respectively will grace the meeting as special invitee, it said, while requesting members of the GPPK within Kohima district and those residing outside to attend the meeting positively.

RCCD to observe 91st Martyr’s Day Anniversary of Haipou Jadonang
Dimapur, August 27 (MExN): The Rongmei Council Chümoukedima District (RCCD) had an emergency meeting on August 22 at Diphupar and after thorough deliberation of the information received from the Rongmei Council Nagaland, the house unanimously resolved and all set to observe the 91st Martyr’s Day Anniversary of Haipou Jadonang (a Freedom Fighter) on August 29, a press release informed on Saturday. The event will be held at Diphupar, F Khel Public Ground no 2, at 3:30 PM with Johnny Ruangmei, Joint Chief Executive Officer, NSDMA, Home Department, Government of Nagaland as main speaker, it informed. As such, the RCCD invited the RCN and its federating units, frontal organizations and all concerned Rongmei citizens of Nagaland to attend the programme.
