5th Khiamniungan Sports 
Council Meet from Jan 10 

Noklak, February 4 (MExN): The 5th Khiamniungan Sports Council Meet will be held at Noklak town from January 10 to 12 under the Aegis of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao with the theme, ‘Imagine life Beyond Ordinary, Driven by Values.’ Advisor, Fisheries &Aquatic Resources, Evaluation and Economic & Statistics, L Khumo will be the special guest for the opening program while Advisor, Prisons, Printing &Stationery, H Haiying will grace the closing program as the special guest. The sports events include badminton, volleyball, football and cross country marathon race for men and women and cross bow shooting for men.

Ban on 'Single Use Plastic' 
items still in force: KMC

Kohima, February 4 (MExN): In continuation of the earlier directives on banning the use/sale of all 'Single Use Plastic' items, the Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) today reiterated that the ban is still in force. And that, the use/sale of such banned items is liable to be penalized under Sec. 5 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, according to KMC administrator T Lanusenla Longkumer. All concerned have been requested to adhere the directive.

Familiarization training on 
'e-pay' system in Tseminyu 

Tseminyu, February 4 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Tseminyu, Dr Zasekuolie, Chusi, IAS has informed all the drawing and disbursing officers of the District that there will be a Familiarization Training on 'e-pay' system at Deputy Commissioner’s Office Tseminyu on February 9 at 11:00 am. Therefore, all the DDOs of the government offices under Tseminyu District, including those DDOs under Pughoboto sub-division, who are facing difficulties with 'e-pay' system, have been informed to depute the office assistants for the said training. The concerned staffs have been requested to bring a laptop with mobile internet facility (preferably Airtel/Jio network) for the purpose of hands-on training. The resource persons from P&AR department, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima will impart the training.
