Appeal to prioritise issues of Hindi Teachers

Zunheboto, July 3 (MExN): All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU), Zunheboto Unit has appealed to the State Government and the concerned department to prioritise the long issues of the Hindi Teachers appointed in the year 2012-2013. “With the irregularity of the salary, we the teachers are facing untold hardship even to fulfill our basic needs. On the other hand, COVID-19 pandemic has doubled the problems of the teachers as credits are to be found no more,” Aviho Chishi, President, ANHTU, Zunheboto Unit said in a press release. The union further urged the State Government and the concerned Education department to note the grievances of the CSS Hindi Teachers and release the pending salary of four months i.e. March to June 2021, at the earliest. 

Medical team visits Shamator

Tuensang, July 3 (MExN): Chief Medical Officer, Tuensang, Dr Lanu Chuba and medical team including Nodal Officer for COVID-19, Tuensang Dr John, visited Shamator circle health centers on July 3. During the tour, the team visited Shamator CHC and Wapher sub-center. The main objective of the tour was for monitoring and supervision of the institutions. The team also sensitized the staff of COVID vaccination drives and to encourage for COVID testing of the vulnerable section of the society.

RTO Kohima issues regulations

Kohima, July 3 (MExN): In pursuance of the Unlock Phase-I, the office of Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Kohima has informed that certain regulations will be followed for public convenience at RTO Kohima till further notice. To make appointment, public can call customer service/helpline number 9863028315 (9:00 AM to 4:00 PM) on office working days; no transaction will be entertained without prior appointment; follow COVID appropriate discipline in office premises and avoid appointment if unwell; Visit office on appointed date only; No entry in the office premises without face mask. “Get yourself vaccinated on your turn,” RTO Kohima, S Yaongsanglee Chang appealed in the notice. 

Sensitization on COVID vaccine in Kiphire 

Kiphire, July 3 (MExN): A sensitisation programme on COVID-19 vaccination was conducted by Land Resources Department, Kiphire along with Medical team at Nikiye village and Thazuvi village under Sitimi, EAC, HQ, Kiphire on July 3. The team was led by DPO, LRD, Ahozhe Sama. The villagers were sensitized on importance of COVID Vaccine in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, a medical team led by Dr Siku and Dr K Nakhro and in presence of ADC, Pungro, Abhinav Shivam, IAS carried out a sensitization programme on July 3 at Pungro village, Kiphire. It was followed by a vaccination session where a total of 103 beneficiaries were vaccinated during the drive. The team has also scheduled to cover Shorih ward in the later part of the day.

SJU host webinar on ‘Cryptocurrency and Bitcoin’

Dimapur, July 3 (MExN): A one-day national webinar session was conducted by the Department of Commerce and Management, St Joseph University (SJU), Dimapur on ‘Cryptocurrency and Bitcoin’ on July 3. The resource person was Dr Pranam Dhar, Head and Chairperson, Department of Commerce and Management, West Bengal State University and All-India General Secretary, Indian Academic Researchers’ Association, Trichy. Dr Dhar spoke about digital currency as an alternative currency, cryptocurrency, the rise of Bitcoin, what is Bitcoin all about, features of Bitcoin, how Bitcoin works. He further emphasized to the participants about the advantages as well as disadvantages and related transactions. Around 140 participants attended the webinar which also had an interactive session.

SKH appeals to relax Odd-Even during Tuluni 

Zunheboto, July 3 (MExN): The Sumi Kukami Hoho (SKH) has made an appeal to the Deputy Commissioner of those districts enforcing Odd-Even vehicle movement to relax the regulation during the celebration of Tuluni festival from July 1 to 8. “We request the administration to exempt that vehicle plying for the purpose of the festival. We would also like to wish all the Sumi a prosperous, blessed and a Happy Tuluni,” the SKH office stated in a press release. 

Unclaimed dead body

Dimapur, July 3 (MExN): On July 2, one person identified as Kanish Namashutry (23), S/o Rosho Raj V/o Tinkary P/S Karimganj Assam passed away in a private hospital while undergoing treatment for injuries reportedly sustained by a running train on June 27. The body has been shifted to District Civil Hospital Morgue for conduct of post mortem examination. Addl Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime) & PRO, Dimapur informed. 

Webinar on ‘financial awareness & consumer training’ conducted 

Peren, July 3 (MExN): Peren Government College (PGC) organized a webinar on ‘financial awareness & consumer training’ in collaboration with National Centre for Financial Education (NCFE) with Dr Sudipto Ghosh from NCFE as resource persons on July 2. Dr Ghost emphasized on personal data protection, fraud purchase protection, principles of education loan and repayment strategies, different modes of digital payments, management on personal income and to set financial goals. The main objective of the programme was to provide financial education to young graduates which will positively impact their financial well-being in future. It was hosted by NCFE Mumbai through Webex and concluded with note of thanks by Dr A Nshoga, Principal, PGC.
