
The Nagaland University Students' Union (NUSU), Kohima Campus; Meriema held its General Election on November 10 which was conducted with Dr Ratan Kaurinta as the Election Commissioner, Metuo Liezietsu as the Returning Officer, and the NUSU-KC executives (2020-2021) officiating the programme. The new NUSU-KC executives team for the tenure 2021-2022 will be led by Khonzan Humtsoe as the President, Limasenla Langu as Vice President, Pongsu K Issac as the General Secretary, Akavi as Assistant General Secretary Cum Bus Co-ordinator, Tshelhiteu Lohe as Finance Secretary Cum Assistant Magazine and Literary Secretary, Y Lichamo Tsopoe as Games & Sports Secretary, T Asenla Jamir as Assistant Games & Sports Secretary Cum Women Co-ordinator, Lovi Jidoji as Social & Cultural Secretary, Tiasenla Walling as Magazine & Literary Secretary, M Yangpang as Info & Publicity Secretary Cum Assistant Social & Cultural Secretary, Akiviho Stephen as Organizing Secretary and Khrieketoulie Chadi as Statistical Secretary. Peace Channel organized a capacity building programme and peace celebration on ‘Introduction of Peace Channel cum Induction of Peace Club Members’ for Class 7 and Class 8 students, Good Shepherd High School, Kiphire, on November 13. The resource person was Pitsala Sangtam, Kiphire District Coordinator (Peace Channel). A total of 92 participants (48 students from class 7 and 44 students from class 8) attended the programme where Bisala volunteered as the captain of Peace Club for Class 7, while Amuli volunteered as the captain of Peace Club for Class 8.
