The Women Entrepreneur Network Nagaland (WENN) held a meeting with national past President of the Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (CoWE) India Vandana Maheshwari at Shiro Cafe, Dimapur on August 25. Facilitated by the Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), the meeting focused on cross learning of best practices and sharing of experiences. CoWE is an ISO 9001: 2008 & NABET Certified Not-for-Profit Organization engaged in the social and economic upliftment of women through entrepreneurship. With its ‘Gearing women power,’ CoWE’s mission is to enhance women's opportunities by creating a resource base of technical know-how, management, marketing skills, finance, infrastructure and equipment to promote entrepreneurship. Nagaland Legislative Assembly Speaker, Sharingain Longkumer attended the 65th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference from August 20 to 26 in Halifax, Canada. Matters pertaining to various important issues were deliberated, informed a press release from the NLA Secretariat. The issued discussed were role of Parliaments in achieving sustainable development; A People's Parliament: Accessibility through Innovation; Professional Development for Parliamentarians — Opportunities and Challenges for Small Parliaments; Access to Assistive Technologies: Implementation of Standards Across the Commonwealth Parliaments; Building Sensitive Parliaments; and The Climate Emergency: Are Parliaments Holding Governments to Accounts.

IGAR North of Assam Rifles is conducting training of prospective candidates for Agniveers and Technical Tradesmen Rally 2022-23 at Dimapur, Peren and Chümoukedima districts of Nagaland from August 23. A total of 419 Individuals for Agniveer and 235 Individuals for Tech Tradesmen Rally were registered out of which 259 Individuals including 246 Males and 13 Females are attending the training with indomitable spirit and enthusiasm.
