Induction programme of Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir as the President, Bharat Scouts & Guides (BSG) Mokokchung district was held in the office chamber of the Deputy Commissioner on February 26 in the presence of State & District Officials of Bharat Scouts & Guides. A farewell programme for Retiring Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Tiyongmeren Jamir was organized by Department of Cooperation at Red Cross Complex, Kohima on February 26. Short speeches were delivered by various federation and Association of the department. The Nagaland State Cooperative Bank (NStCB) bid farewell to R Lipoktoba Aier, Managing Director of the bank on February 25. Aier will superannuate on February 28 after serving 33 years in the bank in various capacities. The farewell programme was chaired by Kekhwengulo Lea, Vice Chairman NStCB. A joint field inspection was conducted by NABARD, Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Department and Sericulture Department, Tuensang on February 26 at Phir Ahi and Chungtor village, Longkhim Block for the ongoing NAGCC project. A part of the ongoing NCC cadets training classes at Kohima College, a team under SI Inaka and assisted by ASI Hanso alongwith four personnel from Fire & Emergency Service, Kohima North conducted classes on fire fighting. They covered topics on types of fire, causes of fire, handling of various fire equipments and prevention of fire accidents. Demonstration on fire fighting was also conducted by fire fighters. Approximately 100 NCC cadets of senior Divison of 24 Nagaland (I) Coy witnessed the demonstration. Under the initiative and supervision of District Administration of Peren led by DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier, following the procedures as laid down in Nagaland State Land (Requisition and Acquisition) Act, allotment of plots at Peren Government College site and Zeliangrong Baudi Hall area by lottery system was done on February 26 at District Hq. Peren. NZPO President, Kevipelie Iheilung said inorder to keep up the prospect for immediate human habitation as well as to give some facilities to college students and working staff of the college, a total of 20 plots was allotted at Peren Government College site to plot holders and the rest at Zeliangrong Baudi Hall area.
