Along with the observance of the International Mother Language Day 2022, the first revised edition of the Chang English, English Chang dictionary was released by Bangchung, Chairman of the Chang literature Board (CLB). The dictionary compiled by (Lt) Achilla Imlong Erdican was revised and edited by Dr Wongto Chingmak pastor. The Mother Language Day was organized by Phinjem, the media organ of the Chang Baptist Church Dimapur.

Pranab Vidyapith Hr Sec School, Dimapur observed ‘Matribhasha Diwas’ at its school auditorium on February 21. Speeches from the students, teachers and songs were presented to mark the day and pay tribute to mother tongue. 

Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland, Kohima tour to various districts in Nagaland started from Tseminyu District on February 21. The Rising People’s Party launched ‘A Walk to Save Nagaland’ to kick-start its campaign for the next general assembly elections on February 21. The RPP members and well-wishers will be covering Dimapur-Mhainamtsi-Thekrujuma-Piphema-Kohima-Jakhama-Pfutsero-Meluri-Kiphire-Tuensang-Tobu-Aboi-Wakching-Tamlu-Merangkong-Tuli–Yajang-Foothill road-Niuland-Dimapur. Sakhi-One Stop Centre building at Phek was inaugurated by Commissioner & Secretary, Sarah R Ritse on February 19. Speaking on the occasion, she called upon the civil society to join efforts for the success of the programs. Earlier, she unveiled the plaque and inaugurated the building. Model Christian College, Kohima organized cultural day under the theme ‘Transcending Differences and Embracing Uniqueness’ with Dr Hovithal Sothu, Project Director, TAFMA as guest speaker at the College Auditorium on February 19. Speaking on the theme, Dr Hovithal emphasized on the need to overcome differences by laying down some elements that will ensure coexistence. In a culture rich Nagaland characterized by variety of dialects and other differences, he stated that appreciation of the other, resolving conflicts and embracing differences can contribute to the welfare of a thriving, coexisting society. 

Training for Gynaecologist in Nagaland District Hospitals was conducted for screening and treatment of Cervical Cancer at NHAK, Kohima on February 18. Dr Mereninla Senlem, Jt Director (DHFW) &State Nodal Officer for Non-Communicable Disease, opened the session with overview of the Programme. Trainers for the day were Dr Imotemsu, Sr Specialist (NHAK), Dr Thejavinuo Keditsu, Consultant, Putounuo Nursing Home, Kohima and Dr NounenuoTerhaseJr. Specialist (NHAK). The training sessions included screening of Cervical Cancer using Visual Inspection of Acetic Acid (VIA) and demonstration for treatment of Cervical Cancer with Cryotherapy and LEEP excision.
