ATMA Zunheboto, Akuluto block conducted training cum demonstration at Lumithsami village on November 28. BTM Jess T Murry spoke on the topic ‘Jalkhund low cost rain water harvesting.’ He highlighted the importance and efficient use of water for improving crop production through Jalkhund. The resource person also demonstrated the steps involved in construction of the khund which include excavation of the khund, inclusion of inner wall, plastering of the wall, laying down of agri-film sheet and covering of the khund with thatch.
