A short programme on the tree plantation in the main town of Kiphire was held at Deluxe Point Kiphire on January 27. Officials present in the programme were Minister V Kashiho Sangtam; Deputy Commissioner Kiphire Sarita Yadav, IAS; SDO (C) Kiphire, head of offices and various organisation leaders. The trees and steel barricades were donated and funded by the District Administration Kiphire, supported by the District coordinator, Muletolu Vero after which it will be looked after by the Bazaar Union Kiphire.

The District Agriculture Office, Kohima was awarded the first position in the exhibition stalls during the 71st Republic Day celebration-cum-exhibition on January 26 held at Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza in the exhibition stall category. The Department displayed the different departmental activities and different products found in the district including cereals, pulses, oilseeds, millets, spices, tuber crops etc. Organic products like organic kholar, brown rice, garlic and sugarcane were sold.
