Nagaland Police Uniform Code released

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today released Nagaland Police Uniform Code during the celebration of 57th statehood day at the Kohima Local Ground.


The Nagaland Police Uniform Code outlines the expectation for all members of Nagaland Police to adhere to guidelines and in order to streamline and regulate police uniform upkeep and usage and also aim to standardize the dress and appearance of all uniformed police officers and other ranks in Nagaland Police.


Rio also released Coffee Table Book on Nagaland published by Directorate of Information and Public Relations.


Entitled “Evocative Nagaland,” the book gives a comprehensive picture of all the districts of Nagaland in photographs.


The contents includes valuable historical contemporary photographs of the state, besides its people, culture, places of interests, cuisine and those unique characteristic that define Nagaland.


The book will be available at Hornbill International photo exhibition pavilion at Kisama near WWII museum.


The Chief Minister also released a book titled ‘Winning the lost battle- Assam Rifles in the Battle of Kohima.’ It is written by the Assam Rifles. This 180 paged book not only includes accounts of the battle from soldier’s point of view but also that of people of Kohima who either participated in the battle or saw it raging in their villages.
