Nagaland receives national awards in RSETI and SIRD

NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 20 (MExN): Under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, Nagaland State received the national award for ‘Best Performing State’ (Group I-North East & Hill States) in implementation of RSETI for the year 2018-19. 

The State also secured third position under the category ‘Overall Performance in respect of Training Programmes’ in implementation of training programmes in North East & hilly states for 2018-19. 

The National Awards were given away at a glittering ceremony at C. Subramanium Auditorium, NASC Complex, New Delhi on December 19, 2019.

 Neposo Thelüo, commissioner & secretary, RD, Government of Nagaland and Athel O. Lotha, secretary RD and Mission Director, NSRLM received the award for Best Performing State under RSETI while Dr. Veluo Shijo, additional director SIRD received the award on behalf of SIRD, Nagaland. 

The awards were given away by Narendra Singh Tomar, Minister, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India. The National Award 2019 was attended by a host of officials from the Ministry as well as officials under the Nagaland state RD department.
