
Dimapur, February 4 (MExN): Nagaland’s COVID-19 tally rose to 34,759 as 79 more people tested positive for the infection while one new fatality in Dimapur district pushed the death toll to 733, a health department bulletin said on Friday.
Of the 79 new cases, Dimapur district logged 58 followed by 15 in Kohima, two in Mokokchung, and one each in Mon and Peren.
On the other hand, 93 people who previously tested positive for the virus recovered on Friday, taking the total tally of recoveries to 31,798.
As on February 4, Nagaland has 787 active cases out of which 615 are said to be asymptomatic cases. A total of 154 COVID patients have mild symptoms, 11 have moderate symptoms and are on oxygen support, while seven are admitted in ICUs with severe symptoms.
