Kohima, November 5 (MExN): ‘NSACS Youth App’ was successfully launched by the Minister, Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, at his office chamber, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima on November 5.
Congratulating the Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) for coming up with its first mobile app, Minister Pangnyu expressed hope that “the youth friendly app will be a good platform to serve the young people and connect them with any HIV related queries or information and participate in HIV prevention activities.”
The Minister urged the young people to download the app and be informed citizens on HIV/AIDS.
NSACS, Project Director, Dr K Vikato Kinimi and IEC Joint Director Metevinuo Sakhrie, along with the officers and staff from IEC and TI division were present during the launching event.
With the launch of this app, very soon NSACS will be conducting an online quiz competition for the Red Ribbon Club Members enrolled in colleges across Nagaland. Similarly, such HIV awareness activities will be conducted from time to time for the youth through the app, informed a press release issued by NSACS.

Another feature of this app is that it connects the users to two main information tools developed by the National AIDS Control Organization called the National HIV/AIDS Helpline 1097 and the NACO AIDS App.
