DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 12 (MExN): A meeting of State Executive Committee of Nagaland State International Cow Federation was held under the chairmanship of Er RS Panesar at the residence of Bimal Sethi. Dr Dinesh Upadhyay, International President of International Cow Federation was also present.
A press release from the federation informed that the meeting discussed various issues concerning local cow preservation & medicinal products from cow milk & development of cow related products. Dr Dinesh Upadhyay informed that many milk based products can be made from cow milk which will generate income & employment for many.
Dr Dinesh Upadhyay informed that an International Conference on Cow will soon be held in the nearby Karbi Anglong District. Delegates from all over India, Nepal & other countries will participate.
It was further decided to observe International Cow Federation Foundation Day on December 20 in Nagaland.
New office bearers were also appointed in the State Executive. Anita Roychowdhury was appointed State Vice President & incharge of State Mahila Wing. Tikaram Dhakhal was appointed State Vice President while OP Gupta and Manoj Sethi were inducted as General Secretary & Joint Secretary respectively.
Therali Ezung, BJP State Secretary, Nagaland was also present in the meeting and impressed upon the need for cow breeding and increase in milk production in Nagaland.
