Nagaland to observe 75th Anniversary of India’s Freedom

Kohima, March 2 (MExN): A committee headed by Chief Secretary, Nagaland has been constituted to identify themes and locations for holding events in the State, and deciding the calendar of events from March 12 (launch date of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav) onwards for commemorating the 75th Anniversary of India’s Freedom in a befitting manner.

The committee constitutes of the following officers: DGP, Nagaland; Principal Secretary, Home; Commissioner, Nagaland; Commissioner & Secretary, IPR; Commissioner & Secretary, Art & Culture - Member Secretary; Commissioner & Secretary, Youth Resources & sports; Special Secretary, School Education; Secretary, Higher & Technical Education; Principal Director, School Education; Director Higher Education; Director, Youth Resources & Sports; and Director, IPR.

A DIPR report stated that the first meeting of the committee has been convened in the Conference Hall of the Chief Secretary on March 3 at 3:00 pm.
