‘Nagas emotionally integrated through politics’

Senapati, February 17 (MExN): Team Leader for Senapati Division, senior and veteran NPF MLA K Azo Nienu while campaigning for Manipur polls at 47 Karong AC, Senapati on Thursday said that “Prior to NPF entry into Manipur state, Nagas were treated as second class citizens and Nagas were treated like dogs. But today with the entry of the NPF party in the year 2012, we the Nagas are treated with respect and dignity. Today Nagas are emotionally integrated through politics and that politics is in the form of NPF party.”

NPF Central Youth Wing in a press release stated that, reiterating “NPF is our identity” Azo said, “This is the only party in the whole country which speaks for the cause and right of Naga People, we have a dream and that is dream is to come together one fine day, to live as one family and to do that it is only NPF party which can bring Nagas under one umbrella.”

He said that “BJP should change its double standard approach and attitude towards NPF. They want NPF in Manipur but want to keep their distance in Nagaland, what is this? It should be take it or leave it completely.” Azo claimed that the Manipur political dynamics is such that no party will be able to form the Government without the support of NPF Party and therefore, urged the Nagas to vote for NPF in order to be part of the Government and to protect the identity and the interest of the Nagas as well.
