Nagas’ Treat: a treat for the Naga youth

What do you get when a group of young professionals from diverse fields come together to create something? A treat!
Impetus is a group comprising of young entrepreneurs which was formed on May 7, 2011. With innovative ideas and guts to match, Impetus today launched a monthly magazine ‘Nagas’ Treat’ in Dimapur. Apart from the glossy layout and contemporary issues featured in the magazine, the team has gone a step ahead by donating one rupee each from the purchase of every magazine for a social cause.
Naga’ Treat is a magazine aimed to engulf all interest and talents of the youth in Naga society. It determined to conceive ideas of promoting the interest of the youths. Editor of the magazine Khiudai Newmai said: “Our motive is to work for the uplift and exaltation of people by covering their intriguing abilities and to propagate their interests through our medium.” He said, despite hitches, the team is determined to continue its journey. “We are determined to retain our work without being undermined by certain drawbacks for which we seek your constant prayers and encouragements for our endeavours.”  
The first edition of the magazine looks promising. The urge to promote Nagas as is reflected in its editorial: “It’s like we are minorities in our own land let alone being promoted in other region. It has become a hard thing for us to uplift our own fellow Nagas here. The desperate need is unity and we are determined to work for the extension of the need.”
Nagas’ Treat team consists of Khiudai Newmai- editor, Rokosato Dikha- managing director,   Zekhrope Lekhro- head, marketing executive and financial assistant, Loveli Kakheto-assistant sales and marketing executive, Pinoka Swu- photographer, Betoka Swu, photographer and event manager and Beltezzar Thong-magazine design and layout. The magazine features articles on entertainment, glamour, music, sports, gadgets, culture and traditional, photography among other. The magazine is also open to contribution from anyone who is willing.  The magazine was launched by Vikhole Neinu, Advisor, Dimapur Municipal Council at Hiyo Café.
