National interactive tour for NE students flagged in

The National Interactive Tour for students belonging to Phek and Kohima districts was conducted from January 20 – 31.

Dimapur, February 1 (MExN): Headquarters 5 Sector, Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) conducted a National Interactive Tour for students belonging to Phek and Kohima districts to Delhi, Dehradun and Mussoorie from January 20 to 31. The National Interactive Tour was flagged in by Brigadier Abhinav Gurha, Commander 5 Sector Assam Rifles. 

The students witnessed the Republic Day Parade rehearsal on January 23 in New Delhi and interacted with the Governor of Uttarakhand on January 28. The students also visited historical places in Delhi, premier educational & professional institutes like the Forest Research Institute & the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun. The tour gave the young minds an exposure to the rich cultural heritage of India and enhanced their awareness of the development and modernisation taking place in other parts of the country.
