Kohima, February 24 (MExN): The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) Chairman, Asano Sekhose has issued a press statement stating that the HSSLC Examination 2022 will commence from March 8 till 31 and HSLC Examination 2022 from March 9 to 22.
In HSSLC Examination, a total of 17117 candidates are enrolled (Arts- 13811, Commerce-1157 and Science-2149) and will be appearing from 88 provisional examination centre. Out of 17117 candidates, 7860 are boys and 9257 are girls.
The Class XI Promotion Examination 2021 will be conducted from April 1 to 23. A total of 30327 candidates will be appearing the HSLC Examination 2022 from 135 provisional examination centres and 4 sub centre. 1391 candidates will also be appearing the HSLC Compartmental Examination 2022 from 35 examination centre.
It may be noted that due to COVID-19 pandemic, more additional examination centre have been created in the districts and sub divisions in order to maintain social distancing in the examination centre.
On February 23, the Board had an online meeting with all the Centre Superintendents where their duties and responsible were discussed in detail. They were also briefed about the preventive measures/SOPs to be followed during the conduct of the examination to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The Board shall also deliver the materials to the examination centres to disinfect the rooms, washrooms, halls etc.
Candidates are required to bring their Original admit cards to the examination hall/room on all the days of the examination. Candidates are also requested to read the question paper carefully before they start to write the answers. Answers to the questions should be written keeping in mind the marks allotted to it.
Candidates are to note the following:
Permitted items- Admit Card, School Identity Card; Stationery item i.e. Transparent Pouch, Geometry/Pencil Box, Blue/Royal Blue Ball Point/Gel Pen, Scale, Writing Board, Eraser, Analogue Watch and Transparent Water Bottles; and Bus card
Barred Items- Any stationery item – such as textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Calculator, Pen Drives, Electronics Pen/Scanner, etc; Any communication device – such as Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band, Camera, etc; items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Pouches, etc; any eatable item opened or packed, except for diabetic candidates; any other item which could be used for unfair means; students are also reminded to refrain from any kind of mal-practices during examinations. Candidates are advised to reach the examination centre in time by moving out from home.
Meanwhile, the Board has appealed to all the candidates to wear masks, observe social distancing norms, and avoid contact with unknown persons etc., to protect themselves. “An earnest appeal also goes out to the parents and guardians to guide their ward on the important guidelines/SOPs and to follow it. Everyone’s cooperation is needed to avoid spreading of COVID-19 during the conduct of the examinations,” the chairman appealed.
With the examinations around the corner, the NBSE also conveyed its best wishes to all the candidates appearing for the examinations.
